Hyo Yeon joined Mckinsey as a Partner in Mckinsey Digital Labs. She is one of the Firm’s first Entity Partners, responsible for establishing the Digital Design service lines, growing the Design teams and studios globally, and working with client service teams to bring the new capability to life. In her role, she:
Works with practice areas to determine Design-driven go-to-market approaches for sectors and functions (e.g. Financial Services, Marketing and Sales)
Participates in cross sector engagements where customer-centric digital transformation can create tangible impact
Is an active participant in helping to augment existing digital offerings such as EDGE and RED to include customer-centric Service Design work streams
Prior to Mckinsey, Hyo worked at several Digital Service agencies/consultancies:
FJORD (Accenture’s Design and Innovation group) – President of N. America, focused on growing P&L as well as teams and geographic footprint. Served clients such as Citi, ELC, CVS, Florida Power and Light
Publicis USA – As EVP and Managing Director of Publicis Modem East (Digital Marketing) Hyo managed a $35M business supporting Citi, LG, General Mills and other retainer-based, multi-year relationships focused on digital marketing
Schematic (now part of Possible Worldwide at WPP) – MD NY; FCB (IPG) – EVP; Studio Red (An experience think tank own by architect David Rockwell); In these positions, Hyo served clients large and small to navigate the evolving digital landscape – VEVO, Coca Cola, Motorola, etc.
Hyo was employee #51 at Razorfish at the height of the Internet boom, helping to build a global team of 2000, where she led the Strategy practice.
Hyo holds a BA from Stanford in Design and Linguistics; A Post Bacc Degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Design); and an MM from Kellogg at Northwestern.
